The Presidents of ANI (Agência Nacional de Inovação, S.A) and FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P) represented Portugal, while Tiit Jürimäe, as Interim Executive Director, signed for Clean Sky. The ceremony also included speeches from two Portuguese Secretaries of State: Maria Fernanda Rollo (Secretary of State of Science, Technology and Higher Education), and Marcos Perestrello (Secretary of State of National Defence).
The aim of this MoU is to build a strategic cooperation to explore synergies and complementarities (cooperative research and pilot demonstrations of common interest) between the Portuguese national programme PT2020 and Clean Sky. A working group will be established to ensure its implementation.
This is the 12th Memorandum of Understanding to be signed by Clean Sky as part of its pilot phase on fostering synergies with ESIF. Read more about Clean Sky’s synergies with structural funds here.
